Hi, I am Nancy Bittner, the owner of Lone Star Healthy Snacks. I am a lifelong resident of Texas and am passionate about living a healthy lifestyle. My husband John and I have three very active teenage children, a son who is a nationally competitive triathlete, a daughter who is a dancer, and a son who is a competitive tennis player.

As a former collegiate athlete,  I know the importance of fueling our bodies with proper nutrition in order to achieve peak performance. Even more important, as a parent, I’ve learned how healthy nutrition positively impacts cognitive function and the immune system. With the majority of our neurotransmitters and our immune system in our gut, proper nutrition is vital to peak performance not just on the playing field, but for all of us to live our best lives.

You’ve probably seen the stats on increasing rates of childhood and adult obesity. They are staggering! So when our children approached my husband and I about a vending machine business, my immediate response was a definitive NO  because vending machines are loaded with junk.  However, what if we could do something different? What if we could provide businesses with a state-of-the-art vending machine loaded with nutritious, healthier food choices?  We all agreed we wanted to be part of the solution, not exacerbate the problem.

As schools are beginning to provide more nutritious meals and businesses are increasingly looking at healthy vending as an addition to their Corporate Wellness Program, we can partner with you to improve the lives of your customers and employees. We can place our healthy vending machines next to traditional snack and drink machines or we can replace junk food machines with our healthier options.

At Lone Start Healthy Snacks, it is our mission to improve the health of our community one snack at a time.  We also believe it is important to give back to the communities in which we do business. As such, we are committed to donating a portion of our sales each quarter to local charities.
